Israel detains top Muslim cleric

Israeli security powers confined Jerusalem's best Islamic priest as the group assembled in the Old City following an assault Friday almost an exceptionally delicate sacred site that killed two cops, the minister's child said.

The excellent mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the city's most astounding Islamic expert, had prior accumulated in the Old City with others and censured the conclusion of the Al-Aqsa mosque for petitions after the assault.

Israeli police said they had no remark.

Hussein's child Jihad Hussein disclosed to AFP his dad had been taken to a police headquarters close to the Old City.
